TEMPO.CO, Bandung - Around 10,532 inmates in 20 West Java penitentiaries are suggested to receive a remission on Eid. The proposal to reduce the sentence is also applicable to corruptors in Sukamiskin Penitentiary Bandung.
Ibnu Chuldun, the head of Correctional Division at the Ministry of Law and Human Rights of West Java, said there were 137 corruptors in Sukamiskin and other penitentiaries suggested to receive remissions for this year's Eid. "Muhammad Nazarudin was suggested to receive one month of special remission and three months of general [remission]. Gayus Tambunan was also suggested to receive a 1.5-month remission," Ibnu told reporters yesterday.
Other name suggested is the former head of Bareskrim Susno Duadji who is imprisoned in Bogor Penitentiary. Susno was suggested to receive one month of special remission and two months of general [remission].
"Remissions will be officially given on Eid," Ibnu said.
