TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian Train Company will lower train ticket prices for the long distance, mid distance, economy and local classes starting April 2014 up to 50 percent. Once the discount prices are valid, Indonesian Train Company Management will be giving cash backs to customers who purchased tickets before this policy begins.
Train Company spokesman, Sugeng Priyono, said this cash back is valid for customers who have already purchsed tickets for the departure of April 1, 2014 and after.
To receive this cash back, said Sugeng, customers must go through some procedures. First, boarding official will check the ticket fare held by the customer. If the ticket is still using commercial fares (old fares), the official will give a stamp with new fare value written plus the difference explanation.
Second, in the arrival station, customers will be asked to go to the counter specializing in refunding. "Refunding fee differences can be done upon arrival up to a maximum of three days afterwards," noted Sugeng.
The customers' tickets will be checked upon departure to ensure the price purchased. If purchased with old fares, customer tickets will be marked by a special stamp.
