TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Greenland, the big chunk of island in the northern hemisphere, apparently offers something new than its eternal snow that covers the majority of its area. Amid the ice age atmosphere, Greenland now offers a common but unusual recreational activity in the island, swimming.
Daily Mail quoted that a series of images were made to promote Greenland's swimming attraction. The ad was as an attempt to promote tourism in one of the most remote location on Earth.
Greenland was never a favorite destination for tourists since it naturally possesses the bone-breaking chill climate. Therefore, local tourism agency has long attempted to boost their location with various attractions from cruise ship until swimming in the icy waters of Greenland.
Despite being notoriously cold, summer has made Greenland relatively warmer, though it is likely still be colder than the pools with usual temperature. Nevertheless, it is worth trying, if you have the guts to jump into the water like Jack Dawson did in the Titanic movie.
