TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - A contemporary circus group, El Nucleo, will entertain public at the Cultural Studies square, University of Jenderal Soedirman Purwokerto, on Sunday June 9, 2013. This acrobatic-duo will perform at the France Art and Cultural Festival (Printemps Francais) which held annually by the Indonesian Francais Institute (IFI).
"The group will demonstrate their acrobatic skills in front of public audiences in Purwokerto and its nearby cities," said the Coordinator of the Local Committee, Tri Asiati on Friday, 7.
El Nucleo comprised of Edward Aleman and Wilmer Marquez, who will perform a staging called "Sans Arrst". Tri added that the show will be an open-stage performance with plenty of attractions such as the balance-dancing and juggling.
The Deputy Attaché of France culture for Indonesia, Dimas Jayasrana, said that El Nucleo was formed two years ago in Colombia. In 2008, both of them lived in France to study art at the Centre National des Arts du Cirque, before they finally had their own project and formed El Nucleo in 2012. "They will combine lively music and some attractive acrobatic movements in their performance," he said.
