TEMPO.CO, London - A man in London turned himself in to the police, admitting that he once threatened to kill Prince Harry, third in line for the British throne.
Thirty year-old Ashraf Islam was arrested on May 23 in London after confessing he wanted to murder the soldier prince. Islam is now facing a sentence of 10 years in prison.
A well-placed royal source said last night that Prince Harry's security is constantly reviewed and has been massively stepped up in the last 10 days. "He is a target for many reasons and his protection officers know they have to be extremely vigilant."
"While there is relief [Islam] has been caught, Harry's security team is mindful this may be a sign of things to come."
The Sunday Telegraph reported that Islam pleaded guilty before the Uxbridge Magistrate's Court and is now awaiting his sentencing.
