TEMPO.CO, New York – A simple visual test is proved to be able to accurately predict someone's Intelligence Quotient (IQ). Based on a research published in the Current Biology journal, a person's ability to filter visual information may relate to that person's IQ.
However, the study co-author Duje Tadin, a neuroscientist at the University of Rochester in New York, stated that efficient visual processing does not instantly make someone smarter. Instead, general brain processes serve as the basic foundation of good intelligence and efficient visual processing.
Based on a study on 12 participants, Tardis found that IQ has a strong relation to a person's ability in performing visual tasks.
