TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Europe on Screen (EOS) 2013 will be held in Indonesia from May 3 to 12. This will be the 13th time this festival is held in the nation.
"It is usually held at the end of the year, but this time it’s in May, and it will be held in seven major Indonesian cities," said Julian Wilson, Ambassador of the European Union for Indonesia, during a press conference at Le Meredien Hotel in Jakarta on Tuesday, April 23.
72 films from 30 European countries, including Austria, Belgium, Germany, France, Norway, and Turkey, will be screened. "Enjoy the films and the festival," said Orlow Seunke, EOS 2013 Festival Director.
This event is held in order to maintain good relations between Europe and Indonesia. The first festival was held in 1990. Since 2003, it has become an annual event known as Europe on Screen.
