“To ensure the safety and security of the match against Australia, the Metro Jaya Police have deployed a substantial force of 2,335 joint personnel,” announced Head of Public Relations of the Metro Jaya Police, Ade Ary Syam Indradi, on Monday, September 9, 2024.
The police will implement traffic management measures around the GBK area to facilitate the smooth flow of traffic. Ade urged the public to avoid the area unless necessary and to seek alternative routes. “For those attending the match, we request your cooperation in maintaining order and civility. We hope for a victorious outcome for Indonesia,” he added.
In the previous match, the Garuda Team demonstrated their competitive spirit by drawing against Saudi Arabia at the King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Jeddah on Friday, September 6, 2024, with a score of 1-1. Meanwhile, their upcoming opponent, Australia, experienced a setback in their previous match, losing to Bahrain by a score of 0-1 at Robin Stadium in Gold Coast on September 5, 2024.
