TEMPO.CO, JakartaIn the global economic stage, some currencies are higher-valued or stronger than others. Economic, political, and social factors are some of the contributing factors to the gap between currencies. Amid market fluctuations and global economic shifts, some currencies have managed to maintain or even increase their value significantly.

Currency exchange rates often reflect a country's economic strength, making them an essential tool in international trade and investment.

So, what is the highest currency in the world? Check out the explanation below, quoted from Bank Bazaar.

2. Bahrain Dinar (BHD)

5. British Pound (GBP)

The official currency of the United Kingdom the pound sterling is worth Rp20,976. Pound Sterling is one of the most traded currencies after the US Dollar, Euro, and Japanese Yen. Gibraltar is a country located at the southern tip of Spain and is still part of British territory. The exchange rate of 1 GIP is Rp20,912. Gibraltar's economy depends on the tourism, financial, and online gaming sectors. GIP is fixed to and exchangeable at par with the British pound sterling.
