He said that flooding has been recorded in Lamboko, Kokini, Pasir Putih, Lampa, Tano Bonunungan, Lompio, and Dodung villages of Banggai Sub-district.

A total of 54 families and 30 houses have been affected by flooding in Lamboko, 97 houses have been flooded in Kokini, 30 houses have been inundated and village roads slightly damaged in Pasir Putih, and 10 families have been affected by flooding in Lampa Village.

In Bentean Village, South Banggai Sub-district, 51 families have been affected by floods, as per records.

In Central Banggai Sub-district, floodwaters have submerged four villages, including Monsongan, where floods have engulfed 14 homes, and Badumpayan, where 68 families have been affected by flooding.

To deal with the impact of the disaster, the local SAR team has evacuated 17 people to evacuation posts set up by the BPBD of Banggai Laut District.

According to Yunus, the local BPBD is still collecting data and coordinating with village officials as well as helping residents in areas affected by the floods.

"This is to ensure flood handling measures are carried out well. The current emergency needs are logistics, clean water, infiltration wells, crossing facilities, and normalization of rivers," he informed.

He noted that rain of light to moderate intensity is still being recorded in the areas, and several residential areas are still flooded.

In addition, the villages of Lampa, Lompio, and Tano Bonunungan are still experiencing flooding.
