Group F 2026 World Cup Qualification: Indonesia Qualifies for 3rd Round After Beating Philippines 2-0

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesia's national football team qualified for the third round of the 2026 World Cup Asian Zone qualifiers after beating the Philippines 2-0 at the Gelora Bung Karno or GBK main stadium in Jakarta on Tuesday, June 11, 2024.

The two Indonesian goals were scored in each half. Thom Haye opened the scoring for the Garuda squad in the 32nd minute. The second goal was scored by Rizky Ridho in the 56th minute.

With this result, Shin Tae-yong's team secured second place in Group F of the Asian Zone's 2026 World Cup qualifying campaign. It is impossible for Vietnam (6 points) to catch up with them (10 points), who will play Iraq on Wednesday morning.

Indonesia qualified for the third round along with Iraq from Group F.
