TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Criminal Investigation Department of the National Police (Bareskrim) is currently hunting two foreigners from Ukraine with the initials RZ and OK. They are the bosses controlling a clandestine hydroponic laboratory for marijuana and mephedrone in the Indonesian Hydra network.
The two fugitives were reported to have fled outside Indonesia since the police raided the clandestine lab at the Sunny Village villa complex, in the Tibubeneng Village area, North Kuta District, Badung Regency, Bali.
"They are already overseas," said the Head of Bareskrim, Commissioner General Wahyu Widada, in a written statement, on Wednesday, May 15, 2024.
Wahyu explained that the two fugitives acted as controllers of the clandestine laboratory and all narcotics operations. Meanwhile, three foreigners who have previously been named as suspects were known to have entered Indonesia using Limited Stay Permit visas for investors who work in property or real estate.
For this reason, Wahyu said his side would coordinate with immigration authorities. "We will tell them that people like this must not enter Indonesia," he said.
Previously, the Police uncovered a narcotics factory located in the Sunny Village villa complex in Bali. Police arrested a foreigner from Russia named Konstantin Krutz who acted as the marketer and an Indonesian citizen with the initials LM, a fugitive from the clandestine lab case in Sunter, North Jakarta on April 4, 2024.
