Tourism Minister Sandiaga Uno Responds to Bruno Mars Concert Plan in Indonesia

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Salahudin Uno responded to the reports of the Bruno Mars concert in Indonesia. According to Minister Sandiaga Uno, the promoted had reported the concert plan to the Ministry, but there is currently no certainty when the concert will be held.
"We’re still waiting for Bruno Mars’ side to confirm the concert plan, the promoter team will propose it in a day or two,” Sandiaga Uno said on Monday at the Manhattan Hotel in Jakarta.
He asked all parties to patiently wait for any official statement from the promoter concerning the date and place of the Bruno Mars concert.
"Everyone, please wait for the official release from Bruno Mars' management. We will duly facilitate the concert if [Bruno Mars] has announced it," he said.
Bruno Mars Concert in 3 Asian Countries
Indonesians have long discussed the possibility of a Bruno Mars concert in Indonesia. At the time, the singer was actively announcing his tour in various Asian countries, namely Japan, Thailand, and Singapore.
Bruno Mars successfully visited Japan a few months ago, where he held a 7-day concert at Tokyo Dome. The concert was slated for January 11, 13, 14, 16, 18, 20 and 21, 2024.
After the success in Japan, Bruno Mars' concert continued in two Asian countries in a row, namely Thailand and Singapore. After the Sunday concert in Thailand, Bruno Mars will perform in Singapore on the upcoming April 3, 5, and 6.
