Countries in the world are divided into two main categories by the United Nations (UN), namely "developed countries" and "developing countries". This classification is based on economic status such as Gross Domestic Product (GDP), Gross National Product (GNP), per capita income, industrialization, living standards, etc.

Quoting from keydifferences.com, "developed countries" refer to sovereign countries, which economies are very advanced, and have superior technological infrastructure compared to other nations. Meanwhile, countries with low industrialization and human development index are called "developing countries".

2. Starbucks Indonesia Responds to Israel-affiliated Product Boycott

The US-based multinational chain of coffeehouses Starbucks has felt the impact of the worldwide boycott for Israeli and Israeli-affiliated products. A number of Starbucks outlets in Indonesia were seen emptier than before October 7.

Anthony McEvoy, the head of PT Sari Coffee Indonesia, the holder of Starbucks' license in Indonesia said Starbucks' visitors this past few months were fewer in several regions.

"People feel the need to distance themselves [from Starbucks], whether from social pressure or others," he said when met last week.

3. Prabowo-Gibran Vow to Continue Social Welfare Programs if Elected

Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka (Prabowo-Gibran) vowed to continue and add to the existing social welfare cards program. The purpose of these programs was to eradicate absolute poverty in Indonesia.

"The existence of absolute poverty is proof that economic development is not yet optimal not equal. The state is obliged to provide social protection for low-income citizens," Prabowo-Gibran wrote in their vision and mission statement document, cited on Friday.
