TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The running pair of presidential candidates in the 2024 general elections Anies Baswedan and Muhaimin Iskandar will conduct their fourth day of campaign in Jakarta today, Friday, Dec. 1. Both Anies and Muhaimin are scheduled to attend several events together.

According to the Deputy of Media and Communication of the Anies-Muhaimin campaigning team, Anies will meet the Indonesia Journalist Association (PWI) in Central Jakarta this afternoon.

After, Anies-Muhaimin will convene with the Muhamadiyah consolidation (The Nationwide Muhamadiyah Regional Executives and Rectors Forum) at Horizon Hotel in South Jakarta.

Anies-Muhaimin will also participate in the National Work Conference of the National Ulema Council at Mercure Ancol Hotel in North Jakarta.

Earlier, Anies-Muhaimin campaigned separately with Anies taking to Jakarta and Bogor while Muahimin campaigned in East Java.

Both conveyed several points of their vision and mission, namely improvement of public transportation, review of the IKN development project, and repairing the corruption eradication sector.

Muhaimin Iskandar also talked about the risk of the Neo-New Order if Anies-Muhaimin is not elected as president and vice president in the upcoming general elections.

The pairing is backed by the Coalition Change, consisting of the NasDem Party, The National Awakening Party (PKB), and the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS).

The General Elections Commission (KPU) decided that the campaign period for the upcoming elections is Nov. 28 to Feb.10, 2024. Anies-Muhaimin is one of the three running pairs for the 2024 general elections, facing Prabowo-Gibran and Ganjar-Mahfud MD.
