BMKG Forecasts Rain to Pour Over Greater Jakarta Today

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) reported that rain will pour over parts of Greater Jakarta (Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi) today.

"Rain with strong winds and lightning," wrote the early warning BMKG released on Friday, November 17, 2023.

Central Jakarta, North Jakarta, and Seribu Islands will greet cloudy skies all day today. Meanwhile, West Jakarta, South Jakarta, and East Jakarta are forecasted to have a drizzle coming in the afternoon in evening.

The temperature in Jakarta today ranges from 24 to 31 degrees Celsius with an air humidity level of 75 to 90 percent.

Heavy rain with lightning is forecasted to pour over Bogor City in the afternoon, followed by a drizzle in the evening. In Cibinong (Bogor Regency), light rain will fall from the afternoon to early morning on Saturday.

Depok, according to BMKG, will also meet heavy rain with lightning in the evening, starting with light rain in the afternoon. 

In Tangerang City, Serpong (South Tangerang), and Tigaraksa (Tangerang Regency), light rain to medium rain is forecasted to pour over the region from the afternoon to evening. The same weather is expected for Bekasi City and Cikarang (Bekasi Regency).
