Less Rainy for Greater Jakarta Today, Forecasts BMKG

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) released a weather forecast for today, Nov. 8, noting that it will be less rainy for Greater Jakarta or Jabodetabek. The agency predicted a chance of light rain only in Bogor City and Cibinong of Bogor Regency this afternoon and in South and East Jakarta overnight.

Other areas of the capital will be sunny this morning and cloudy this afternoon. In the evening, except for South and East Jakarta, the weather will be completely cloudy.

Sunny weather will also greet Bekasi, Cibinong, Depok, and Bogor City this morning. In the afternoon, all areas will be cloudy except Cibinong and Bogor City. In the evening, cloudy weather will cover all of Bekasi, Cibinong, Depok, and Bogor City.

Despite the possibility of light rain in Bogor, the agency urged people to be aware of rain with lightning and strong winds. “It may occur in some areas in the afternoon and evening,” as quoted from the early weather warning.

For the Greater Tangerang area, the BMKG said there is no chance of rain today in Tangerang City, Tigaraksa (Tangerang Regency), and Serpong (South Tangerang City). All areas will be partly cloudy in the morning and cloudy in the afternoon and evening.
