Batik Air to Launch Jakarta-Banyuwangi Route Next Month

TEMPO.CO, JakartaLow-cost carrier Batik Air announced the launch of direct flights from Jakarta to Banyuwangi starting November 1, 2023. Corporate spokesperson Danang Mandala Prihantoro said the flight will be available daily from Terminal 2E of Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (CGK) in Tangerang to Banyuwangi Airport (BWX) in East Java.

“To accommodate business people and tourists so they can plan their trips more easily and comfortably,” Danang said on Tuesday, October 24.

He said the new route is good news for travelers willing to explore Banyuwangi or prepare for a refreshing year-end holiday. Business people and tourists from home and abroad including Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Penang, and Singapore can also visit Banyuwangi by stopping in Jakarta.

In addition, people from Banyuwangi can have wide accessibility to Jakarta and continue flights to various domestic and international destinations.

The airline will operate an Airbus A320-200 to serve the Jakarta-Banyuwangi round-trip route. The modern fleet has a capacity of 12 business class seats and 144 economy class seats. 

“Batik Air is committed to providing the best travel experience,” said Danang.
