MotoGP Mandalika Kicks Off Tomorrow, Preparation at 100%

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The MotoGP Mandalika championship will kick off tomorrow, from October 13 to 15, at Mandalika Circuit in Lombok, NTB. The president director of MGPA Priandhi Satria explained that all preparation regarding the race has been completed, including the circuit, paddock, and the pit lane.
Currently, the World Motorcycling Authority FIM and Indonesian motorcycle organization IMI are speedrunning the race marshal training to assist in the championship. The training was scheduled for three days from October 9 to 12, participated by 380 marshals.
Supporting facilities such as parking areas, entertainment stage, and MSMEs stands are also being prepared by the organizers. "Non-race preparations including for side events are almost done. We ensure that everything will be completed by the time audiences enter the Mandalika Circuit for the best experience," said President Director Dyandra&co Daswar Marpaung.
Meanwhile, the Operational Director for Indonesian Tourism Development Corporation Troy Reza Warokka mentioned that the support from the government and SOEs is a mutual commitment to ensure the success of MotoGP Mandalika. Reza also expressed his appreciation toward the private sector for its continued support.
"ITDC, as the KEK Mandalika management has prepared the location by developing and improving 35 kilometers of road infrastructure, 7,888 parking facilities, gates, transportation service, and traffic management to facilitate the access for MotoGP 2023 audience," he said.
Reza added that his side has equipped the region with the development of Al-Hakim Mosque, Kuta Lane, and Bazaar Mandalika as an appreciation toward the locals by displaying MSMEs products.
"Going forward, we will continue to develop the supporting facilities to strengthen KEK Mandalika's status as the main sports tourism destination in Indonesia," Reza concluded.
