TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The National Cyber and Encryption Agency (BSSN) deployed a cyber security task force to ensure the implementation of the High-Level Meeting of Archipelagic and Island States or AIS Forum 2023.
“We have deployed the security task force to optimize the implementation of BSSN's duties and functions in the field of cyber and password security, as well as the smooth operation before and during the 2023 AIS Forum in Bali,” BSSN spokesperson Ariandi Putra said in his official statement, Monday, October 9, 2023.
Ariandi explained that security measure for the upcoming event was the same as that carried out at the G20 Summit in Bali and the ASEAN Summit in Labuan Bajo and Jakarta some time ago.
According to him, the security measure prioritizes pre-emptive and preventive activities as well as synergy and collaboration with the military (TNI), the police (Polri), and related ministries and institutions.
BSSN Deputy Head Putu Jayan Danu Putra added that the task force will be tasked to identify, detect, protect, overcome, recover, and monitor cyber and password security incidents before and during the 2023 AIS Forum.
The 2023 AIS Forum will be held at Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center (BNDCC) for two days on October 10-11, 2023. A total of 51 island and archipelagic countries, as well as a number of international organizations, are expected to attend this event themed "Fostering Collaboration, Enabling Innovation for Our Ocean and Our Future".
The 2023 AIS Forum members will focus on three aspects, namely the development of the blue economy, the challenge of climate change, and the strengthening of solidarity between islands and island countries.
