BMKG: Another Scorching Heat to Hit Bekasi, Some Jakarta

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta and its neighboring regions will have mostly bright and sunny skies today, September 29, 2023. The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicted that scorching heat reaching 36 degrees Celsius is likely to hit some areas.

The capital city will have abundant sunshine this morning. Later in the afternoon, some clouds will come to South and East Jakarta.

There is no early warning for today's weather conditions in Jakarta.

Under sunny skies, West, East, and South Jakarta will be quite hot with the temperature between 24 and 36 degrees Celsius. The humidity will be around 40-70 percent.

Weather forecast for Jakarta’s vicinity

Neighboring regions of Jakarta, including Bogor City, Bogor Regency, Depok, Tangerang City, Tangerang Regency, South Tangerang, Bekasi City, and Bekasi Regency will also have sunny and partly cloudy skies.

Additionally, an early warning of possible strong winds has been issued for several areas in West Java.

The temperature in Bekasi City and Cikarang in Bekasi Regency is expected to be between 24-36 degrees Celsius with humidity of 45-85 percent.

In other areas around Jakarta, BMKG forecasted the highest temperature will reach 33 degrees Celsius.
