National Holiday: Jakarta Halts Odd-Even Traffic Policy Today

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Provincial Government halted temporarily the odd-even traffic policy today, September 28, in Indonesia's public holiday of Prophet Muhammad's birthday commemoration in 1445 Hijri year.
The decision was taken based on Governor Regulation Number 88/ 2019 on the Change of Governor Regulation Number 155/ 2018 on the Traffic Limitation with the Odd-Even System.
“The traffic limitation with the odd-even system is halted on Saturday, Sunday, and National Holiday as stipulated in the Presidential Decree,” said the head of Jakarta Transportation Department, Syafrin Liputo, in a written statement on Wednesday, September 27, 2023.
According to Syafrin, the odd-even traffic policy for four-wheeled vehicles in Jakarta had also been halted.
The city transportation department will manage the traffic in Jakarta to be safe and orderly. The official called on the people planning to travel to abide by the traffic regulations and the officers' directions on the field.
