TEMPO.CO, Mataram - The culinary industry of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMSEs) in Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara have started utilizing online marketplaces such as Gofood and Grabfood to sell their products. “The profit increases to Rp5 million per month on average,” said Rian Ardiansyah, owner of Warung Natu in Punia, Mataram City on Wednesday, July 12, 2023.
Rian opened his gimbap and corn dog business in 2016. At that time, he began to sell his food conventionally by opening a physical stall to attract tourists. However, since March 2022, Rian has started using online marketplaces to serve his customers in addition to his gimbap store after joining the West Lombok BUMN House. BUMN House is managed by the National Electricity Company West Nusa Tenggara branch.
BUMN House was established to realize the National Electricity Company’s commitment to supporting the development of SMSEs. Rian said that he saw a significant profit and network rise after joining BUMN House. “It greatly impacted my sales,” he said,
Similar to Rian, Nuraini, owner of Manha99 Pisang Sale in Labuapi, West Lombok, also felt the benefits of being trained under BUMN House. Nuraini, who started her business in 2015 making sweet banana sticks admitted that BUMN House guided her to develop her business marketing strategy. Now, she also markets her products in gift shops for hajj and Umrah souvenirs. “The rise of profit reaches 100% rate,” said Nuraini.
“Especially for sale pisang (banana snack) and udang rebon (small shrimp), the profit is around Rp5 million per month,” Nuraini added.
General Manager of the National Electricity Company for West Nusa Tenggara. Sudjarwo said that the company held various training and business assistance for their trainee partners. They focused the training on sectors with sustainable profit potential. “In our collaboration with the trainee partners, we deliver guidance and resources to help increase the product quality, business management, and access to a broader market,” said Sudjarwo.
He hopes that this program will support the development of local business owners in West Nusa Tenggara. “The end goal is prosperity for all West Nusa Tenggara residents,” Sudjarwo added.
