Indonesian Embassy in Tokyo Helps Inaugurate Overseas Election Supervisory Committee

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Indonesian Embassy in Tokyo on Friday, April 28 facilitated the Election Supervisory Board in inaugurating members of the Overseas Election Supervisory Committee. The committee members will oversee the election process for members of the DPR, DPD, and DPRD, as well as the 2024 presidential and vice presidential elections that take place overseas.
Those who were appointed as election supervisors were three people for the Greater Tokyo area (Tun Ahmad Gazali, Slamet Kristanto Tirto Utomo and Muhammad Arief Hidayat) and three people for the Osaka area (Okie Dita Apriyanto, Muhammad Salman Al Farisi and Hermawan).
On the same occasion, Bawaslu also appointed three supervisors for holding general elections in Seoul, South Korea (Adrianus, Heri Akhmadi and Herowati Sitorus).
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Deputy Ambassador John Tjahjanto Boestami and officials of the Indonesian Embassy in Tokyo, Bawaslu members, and the Foreign Affairs Ministry's Secretary of the Inspectorate General, Azis Nurwahyudi.
"As election supervisors, you are all required to have integrity in carrying out your duties," Bawaslu member Herwyn Jefler Hielsa Malonda said in his address.
