TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta-owned developer PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro) VP Corporate Secretary Syachrial Syarif said the financial statements of Formula E 2022 had been audited completely. The audit results conducted by a public accounting firm (KAP) Jojo Sunarjo&Rekan showed that the 2022 Jakarta E-Prix booked a profit of Rp5.29 billion.
“We have submitted the results to the Development Agency of Regional Owned Enterprise (BP BUMD) and the Inspectorate,” said Syachrial at the Jakarta Legislative Council (DPRD) Building on Tuesday, January 31, 2023.
He explained that there was a difference in the profit results from the international electric racing series event with previous calculations. “It's different from before. At that time, we said [the profit] amounted to Rp6 billion, it's Rp5.29 billion after the audit,” he clarified.
The audit results were submitted in the second week of January 2023. The audit is a review of the financial statements of a company or business which is carried out independently and objectively to provide assurance to each stakeholder that the financial reports are accurate, complete, and in line with regulatory standards audits.
Based on the previous in-house report, the international event recorded a profit before tax totaling Rp6.41 billion. The figure had taken into account all cash and non-cash income and expenses, including outstanding liabilities as of September 30, 2022.
Previously, acting head of Jakarta BP BUMD Budi Purnama in June 2022 explained that the audit of the international event’s financial statements would be carried out in stages.
After the external audit from the private sector is completed, the financial statements of Formula E 2022 will be again audited by an independent auditor from the public accounting firm (KAP) and then by the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK).
