TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) Student Team from the School of Business and Management (SBM) won four medals in the 2022 National Student Competition in Business, Management and Finance (KBMK). The prestigious competition is organized by the National Achievement Center of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology.
The contest consists of five categories that focus on the commercialization of investment research, commercialization of research and appropriate technology, scientific writing, business planning, and investigative audit finance. The 2022 KBMK is attended by every tertiary institution, both public and private, in Indonesia.
The announcement of the championship was informed last November via the Semen Indonesia International University Youtube channel. The SuperBagger Team emerged as the best team in the 3 Investment Research contest, the Jatinewyork Team was declared the 1st best team in the Commercialization of Appropriate Research and Technology contest, the Afreca Team became the 2nd best team in a similar contest category, and the PnG Team won the 1st best team title in the Scientific Writing contest.
The SuperBagger team consists of Reynaldo Mulya, Peter Vieriawan and Briana Alifia Putri Alwaliyyu with supervisor Yulianto. Meanwhile, the Jatinewyork Team consisted of Ananda Humaira Putri Salsabila, Nadhira Valenia Widyatama Putri, and Afra Samantha, majoring in Entrepreneurship and received assistance from Isti Rafaldini Mirzantim.
For the Afreca Team, there are Adam Aliya Silmi, Frisca Nadya Febrianty, and Frederik Agustian Budiharja, who were Management students and coached by Atika Irawan. Meanwhile, the PnG Team consists of Ghanef Rayyan Hanisfy and Poet Reogavi with trainer Muhammad Yorga Permana.
Their success is inseparable from the role of the campus and the lecturers that serve as a supporting system to help accelerate student capacity. "Students are smart, proactive, and have lots of creative ideas. Our job as mentors is only as a partner for their critical discussion," said Yorga as quoted from ITB's official website on Thursday, December 8, 2022.
Yorga also continues to open forums for discussion with students regularly even though he is currently on a study assignment in London. He hopes that this achievement can inspire more ITB students to take part in various competitions according to their knowledge.
