INFO TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Fast Company, the world's leading progressive business media, recently awarded Indonesian tech giant, Tokopedia, as one of the Best Workplaces for Innovators.
The list includes 100 companies from various industries, such as computer science, biotech, consumer packaged goods, nonprofit, education, financial services, cyber security, engineering, diversity, sustainability, B2B, and consumer products and services.
It was the fourth annual list, created by Fast Company in collaboration with Accenture. The Fast Company editors and Accenture researchers reviewed and scored almost 1,500 applications.
In a panel consisting of eight renowned judges, they chose and ranked the top 100 organizations that have provided an environment that nurtures innovation, including Tokopedia.
Since established in 2009, Tokopedia’s vision is to be the most admired tech company and the home of the best digital talents in Indonesia. Those talented people become an essential aspect to support the integrated business development of a company.
“We believe that high-quality talents not only contribute to the company’s growth but also for themselves and their surroundings. Together, we can build a positive work culture, both at the team and organizational level,” said Melissa Siska Juminto, Tokopedia's Chief Operating Officer (COO).
In the implementation, Tokopedia lives by three DNA as its guiding principles, which are “Focus on Consumer”, “Growth Mindset”, and “Make It Happen, Make It Better”.
“The value of ‘Make it Happen, Make It Better’ is truly embodied through Tokopedia day to day operation. Meanwhile, the question ‘What else to start?’ becomes an internal question to encourage the birth of new innovations,” she added.
Creating an inclusive and diverse workplace is one of the commitments of GoTo Group; everyone is encouraged to be the best version of themselves. Through this diverse, yet equal and inclusive work culture, the company continues to nurture the mindset of being innovative, productive, tough, and responsible.
“We are committed to helping Nakama (Tokopedia employees) in finding their own purpose while encouraging sustainable business growth. Nurturing good cultures, values, and work principles is a key to getting the best quality talents,” said Melissa.
