Citayam Fashion Week Leads to Hike in User Numbers of KRL Sudirman Station

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Commuter line or KRL operator PT Kereta Commuter Indonesia or KAI Commuter on Sunday, July 24, reported that Citayam Fashion Week caused a surge in the number of passengers in the Sudirman Station area this weekend.
The third space, which is also connected to Dukuh Atas MRT Station, Central Jakarta, has recently been increasingly crowded with young people, many of whom come from the capital’s buffer zones, such as Citayam, Bojong Gede, and Depok.
“Sudirman Station sees an increase in the number of users to 10,089 people or up by 8 percent. The number of users at the Jakarta Kota Station was recorded at 8,655,” said VP Corporate Secretary of KAI Commuter Anne Purba in an official statement, Sunday, July 24, 2022.
Anne explained that the train trips of Jabodetabek or Greater Jakarta KRL during the weekend holiday ran smoothly.
KAI Commuter recorded 303,488 people using the commuter line until 5 p.m. Bogor Station saw the highest number of user departures at 21,058, while Tanah Abang Station logged the highest number of destination station at 16,236.
The total number of KRL users was dominated by commuters on the Bogor line with a total of 94,723 users. KAI Commuter also noted that four percent of the figure or 13,426 people were seasonal passengers who took the train for their weekend holiday.
KAI Commuter appealed to all users to always comply with the health protocols while using KRL.
