Unilever Pays Out IDR 3.2 Trillion Dividends

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - PT Unilever Indonesia Tbk. (IDX: UNVR) will distribute a final dividend of IDR 84 per share or IDR 3.2 trillion in total. The decision was agreed to during a shareholders' annual general meeting or AGM on Wednesday, June 15, 2022.
"The AGM agreed to use the net profit of the 2021 financial year, including the distribution of a final dividend of Rp84 per share," president director Ira Noviarti said in a public expose.
UNVR has 38.15 billion shares floating on the Indonesian Stock Exchange. Thus, the total final dividend is around Rp3.2 trillion.
In the 2021 financial year, the company booked a net profit of Rp5.76 trillion or Rp151 per share, a 19.61 percent decline from 2020.
On December 16, 2021, UNVR paid out an interim dividend of Rp66 per share. Thus the dividend payout ratio (DPR) for the 2021 financial year reached 99.3 percent.
In the AGM, Unilever's shareholders also agreed to make changes in the company's senior leadership rank by appointing a number of new directors.
