TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Managing Director of Mandalika Circuit, Bram Subiandoro said 90% of the circuit homologation has been fulfilled. Homologation is the granting of approval by an official authority. Homologation became a requirement to host the upcoming MotoGP 2022 in March.

"The progress is 90%, all that's left are protective tires on the edge and electronics installation," said Bram, Wednesday, January 26.

Tires installation, said him, will begin today and he still awaits the logistic workers to be present on the track seeing as what's left is to install the tires and electrical items.

Bram ensures all preparations have no hitch, including the drainage considering that during World Superbike 2021 the circuit was submerged upon rain. "We have installed pipes in several spots so it won't flood when it rains. Everything is fixed."

Additionally, the host is building a special dormitory made of a container surrounded by a wall for racers' crews. The dormitory's construction will begin along with the additional stand and is expected to be finished two days before the race.

Bram also ensured the homologation assessment grade A by Federation Internationale Motocyclisme (FIM) will be conducted before the MotoGP race. "The time can't be confirmed yet, perhaps after the pre-season tour."
