TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jogja Volkswagen Festival 2022 will be held in Prambanan Temple from July 16 to 17. The committee has announced requirements upon participating in the festival to ensure safety.

Jogja Volkswagen Festival is an event made by Volkswagen Club Indonesia which is held once every two years. The event exhibits various Volkswagen (VW) cars and is a discussion forum for the fans of the German car.

The Chairman of Yogyakarta VW Club, Ahmad Arief Haryo Tricahyono said this year's festival would be different from the last one as it would not be held in Jogja Expo Center, but in Prambanan Temple.

"We chose Prambanan to adapt to the pandemic condition. It is in line with the Go Green goal, and [the visitors can also do the] sightseeing," said the chairman.

The Head Manager of the festival, Sumartoyo explained that the event will also be held virtually. As for the offline event, it will be centered in one location, which is on the temple and is spread into 7 zones with a maximum capacity of 150 people in each zone.

On top of that, participants must obey health protocols such as wearing masks, physical distancing, avoiding crowds, and must undergo on-site antigen tests as well as be fully vaccinated and use the PeduliLindungi app.

Yogyakarta Deputy Governor, KGP Adipati Aryo Paku Alam X, also reminded the committee to abide by the Covid protocols, which include the limitation of the number of participants, the adjustment to the activities, and the use of open spaces.

"The important thing is the event will go on, abide by the health protocols, and can be a role model on how to host an event amid pandemic," said the deputy governor after welcoming Jogja Volkswagen Festival 2022 committee on Thursday, January 20. He expects the international event can bring in either individuals or communities from abroad.
