TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Visitors of popular local tourist region of Puncak are now obliged to show Covid-19 vaccination certificate to the authorities upon entering the area.
This rule will be enforced during the Christmas and New Year’s holidays, aiming at preventing the spread of coronavirus during the crowded holiday week.
The Bogor Police Chief, Adj. Commissioner Harun said there will be 25 checkpoints spread across the Puncak area, namely in Bogor City, Sukabumi, and Cianjur. This is to make sure that only the vaccinated are allowed to enter, Antaranews reported.
In addition, local police sectors will also impose traffic engineering such as the odd-even number plate rule, the contra flow once traffic jams occur, and the one-way traffic policy.
“The odd-even number plate filter will be imposed at toll roads [heading to Puncak] and if it gets crowded, a traffic engineering will be put in place,” said Harun.
Moreover, the Bogor City Police Chief Sr. Commissioner Susatyo Purnomo Condro said 25 health posts will make sure that those who are traveling during the year-end holidays are those who have been vaccinated against Covid.
