Tangerang Puts QR Codes for PeduliLindungi App in 339 Public Facilities

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Tangerang City's Office of Communication and Informatics has put 339 QR Codes for the PeduliLindungi app. This is a follow up to the Home Affairs Minister's Instruction as well as the Mayor's Circular on the implementation of level 2 public activity restriction, or PPKM, in the city.
The Communication and Informatics Office chief, Mulyani, said they are tasked with coordinating the Peduli Lindungi app's QR Codes issuance to the Health Ministry's Data and Technology Center (Pusdatin).
"The barcodes will help strengthen tracing on residents who had been exposed to Covid-19," Mulyani said on Friday, October 29.
Mulyani said that 339 QR Code for public buildings and facilities have been issued, and some have been applied.
"The Culture and Tourism Office will encourage places where crowds gather such as restaurants, hotels, parks and so on, to apply the QR Codes for PeduliLindungi as soon as possible. The implementation will be supervised by the Satpol PP," she said.
Places in Tangerang City that has used PeduliLindungi app QR Code include 99 government offices, 35 sports facilities, 127 schools, and 16 tourist attractions, among others. The QR codes are also placed in shopping areas, medical facilities, hotels, restaurants, and more.
