TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - A member of the PDIP faction at Jakarta Regional Legislative Council (DPRD), Gilbert Simanjuntak, said the seven factions that rejected the interpellation of Formula E still must attend the plenary meeting.
Either they agree or disagre on the interpellation against Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan, he said, it should still be submitted at the plenary meeting since it is the right of every member of the council.
"If we don't respect our Plenary, who will?" said Gilbert at the Jakarta DPRD Building in Kebon Sirih, on Tuesday, September 28.
Jakarta DPRD today planned a plenary meeting to discuss the interpellation against Anies Bawedan regarding the Formula E event. But they had to postponed the meeting as they failed to meet the required quorum, said Jakarta DPRD speaker Prasetyo Edi Marsudi.
Previously, seven factions in Jakarta DPRD refused to attend the meeting. They said the interpellation agenda had been imposed since its formulation in the council's consultative body (Bamus).
However, the PDIP faction member argued that there was no such agenda. According to Gilbert, the Bamus supported the agenda because there were seven factions that attended the meeting and did not refuse it.
