Malls in Depok to Reopen, People Under Age 12 Prohibited to Enter

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Depok City Government has allowed shopping centers and malls to reoperate amid the Implementation of the Public Activity Restriction or PPKM on August 17 to 23, 2021, as stated in the Decree of the Mayor of Depok.
"The trial of implementing the health protocol with the condition that it is allowed to operate at 50 percent from 10:00 to 20:00 local time," said the mayor of Depok, Mohammad Idris.
Idris said that another provisions to be met is that the shopping centre managers must use the Pedulilindungi app in order to screen all visitors and employees.
"Residents under the age of 12 are prohibited from entering shopping centers, malls and commercial centers," said the mayor.
Restaurants, restaurants, cafes inside shopping centers or malls may only accept visitors to eat in places with a maximum capacity of 25 percent, one table for a maximum of two people, and a maximum meal time of only 30 minutes.
"Theatres, children's playgrounds and entertainment venues within shopping centers, malls and commercial centers are closed," according to the Mayor’s decision.
The decision to reopen shopping centers, malls and trade centers in Depok City is also stated in the Instruction of the Minister of Home Affairs regarding PPKM Level 4, Level 3, and Level 2 Covid-19 in Java and Bali.
