TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Densus 88, the Indonesian Police's Special Anti-terror Detachment, has arrested Munarman, former general secretary of the now-disbanded Front Pembela Islam (FPI). Munarman was arrested at the Modern Hills Housing Complex in Pamulang, today, 27 April 2021.
Murnaman's arrest was confirmed by the Police Headquarters' PR Department chief, Inspector General Argo Yuwono.
"That is correct," he said briefly via text message, Tuesday.
Argo said that Munarman was arrested under suspicions of mobilizing people and having malicious consensus to commit crimes of terrorism, as well as withholding information.
