TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Deputy Governor Ahmad Riza Patria stated that Governor Anies Baswedan will issue a governor regulation concerning a more stringent large-scale social restriction (PSBB). The regulation will contain provisions on implementation of public activity implementation (PPKM) issued by the central government.
Riza said that the governor regulation will streamline the transitional PSBB policy in Jakarta with the instruction in strict PSBB for Java and Bali implemented by the central government.
"We always coordinate and the Govenor today issued a governor regulation. The substative points have been adjusted," Riza said in a discussion event broadcasted live through the BNPB Indonesia YouTube channel on Thursday, January 7, 2021.
Riza however, did not mention any detail concerning the number of the governor regulation. According to Riza, the restriction on public activityt supervision in the capital will be adjusted with the central government's instruction starting on January 11 to January 25, 2021.
For example, Riza said that office activities, which was limited to 50 percent during the PSBB transition period, will be lowered to 25 percent. In addition, the capacity of restaurants, which previously limited to 50 percent, will also be lowered to 25 percent.
"We adjust everything," Riza said.
Riza explained that steps to apply a more stringent PSBB for Jakarta had been discussed by Governor Anies Baswedan last Tuesday. Just two days ago, the Jakarta Provincial Government had conducted an evaluation on the extension of the Transitional PSBB, which takes place from January 3 to January 17, 2021.
"We concluded that there has to be a more stringent supervision," Riza said.
