Jokowi to Issue Presidential Regulation on COVID-19 Vaccination

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The coordinating minister of economics, Airlangga Hartarto, on Monday said President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo will soon announce a new presidential regulation (Perpres) related to COVID-19 vaccination. 

“The government has prepared a Perpres and a roadmap regarding the vaccination, and also a dashboard tracing vaccination program to see its effectiveness,” said Airlangga in a virtual press conference aired by the President’s Secretariat Youtube account. 

Airlangga said the government has prepared up to Rp3 trillion for a nationwide vaccination and will be added with additional Rp18 trillion from the 2021 state budget (APBN).

The president has given a deadline of two weeks for the committee for the handling of COVID-19 and economic recovery (PC-PEN) to finalize a thorough plan for the vaccination.
