Jokowi Welcomes Abu Dhabi Crown Prince at Soekarno-Hatta Airport

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko Widodo or Jokowi welcomed the arrival of Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed al-Nahyan in Indonesia today, July 24, at 09:00 Jakarta time, in Soekarno-Hatta Airport, Tangerang.
Accompanied the President was Foreign Affairs Minister Retno Marsudi and Energy and Natural Resource Minister Ignasius Jonan.
The President and Mohamed, boarding the same car, departed to Bogor Presidential Palace, West Java.
Previously in 2015, the Indonesian President was warmly welcomed by the Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces after he arrived at the airport during his state visit to UAE.
Before heading to Bogor for a bilateral meeting, Jokowi invited the Crown Prince to go sightseeing Jakarta City.
“He wants to show the rapid development of Indonesia by passing the capital city icon, which is HI Roundabout because there is MRT as well,” said the Deputy of Protocol, Press, and Media of the Presidential Secretariat Bey Machmudin via a short message today
Bey added that the last state visit of President UEA was held 29 years ago in 1990.
