TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The internal survey of Prabowo - Sandiaga campaign team (BPN) showed that the presidential candidate pair number 02 Prabowo Subianto and Sandiaga Uno has surpassed the incumbent Joko Widodo or Jokowi - Ma'ruf Amin.
“Based on the internal survey, Prabowo wins 62 percent of electability, while Jokowi 38 percent,” said the BPN campaign director Sugiono in a meeting between his team and mass media in The Dharmawangsa, South Jakarta, on Monday, April 8.
Sugiono explained the figure was obtained from the latest survey last week by involving 1,440 respondents across 34 provinces of Indonesia. The method used in the study, he added, was not much different than that of mainstream surveys. However, Sugiono stopped short of detailing the margin of error, and the result did not include the rate of swing voters and undecided voters.

The high electability rate of Prabowo, Sugiono reiterated, was attributed to the worrying condition felt by the people as previously mentioned by the chairman of Gerindra Party, such as the weakening economy, leak of the country's wealth to overseas, and leak of the state budget which directly affected the community.
According to Sugiono, the electability rate revealed in the survey reflected the prospect of Prabowo - Sandiaga in the upcoming election in a bid to project the pair’s strength and weakness.
Additionally, the survey aimed at providing fair information to the public considering many pollsters showed that the Prabowo - Sandiaga electability rate was always defeated by the candidate pair number 01.
“We want to give a warning to the public that not all information provided by media is a real condition in the society. Because many reporters question us on how the standing of Prabowo - Sandiaga in the 2019 presidential election,” Sugiono concluded.
