Miss Indonesia Finalists Linked to Online Prostitution Scandal

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - East Java Police Chief Insp. Gen. Luki Hermawan announced that there are six celebrities involved in the online prostitution case that have incriminated actress Vanessa Angel.
However, police investigation revealed that two Miss Indonesia finalists were also involved in the scandal. "They are the 2016 and 2017 Miss Indonesia finalists," Luki said on Friday, January 11, 2019.
Both women will be summoned for police questioning as a witness to Endang, who was arrested earlier for her role as a pimp in the illegal practice.
Other than the finalists of the country's known beauty pageant, Luki said that there are those that work as TV serial actresses and models.
Luki Hermawan previously said that a total of 45 celebrities and 100 models involved in online prostitution. Their tariffs varied from IDR 25 million to IDR 100 million. The list of their names was obtained following the investigation into the pimps.
Up until this news was published, Tempo was unable to reach the organizers of Miss Indonesia 2016 and 2017 for further confirmation and the list of names that are suspected to be involved in the so-called celebrity online prostitution practice.
