Jokowi: Trans Java Toll Road is Cheaper and Quicker Alternative

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo inaugurated four Trans Java toll road sections connecting to the East Java section. The inauguration was held at the Jombang District interchange at the toll road’s KM 671.
“Bismillahirrahmanirrahim (in the name of God, the merciful and the compassionate), I officially inaugurate the 59 km Ngawi-Kertasono, Kertasono-Bandar, Porong-Gempol, and Pasuruan-Gati toll road sections,” said President Jokowi on Thursday, December 20.

The toll road sections approved and introduced by the president include the 37.9-kilometer Ngawi – Kertosono section, 0.9-kilometer Jombang-Mojokerto section, 6.3-kilometer Porong – Gempol section, and finally Gempol – Pasuruan’s 13.65-kilometer toll road section.
Jokowi explained that the Central Java section of the Trans Java has also been completed which connects the toll road sections into a 741-kilometer toll road from Jakarta to Surabaya.
“This is more accessible, affordable, quicker, and is an alternative for everyone,” said President Jokowi on the massive Trans Java toll road.
