TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The vice-presidential candidate number 01 Ma`ruf Amin has not been seen campaigning for a week. Since Thursday, November 29, Ma’ruf Amin only received guests at his residence, Jalan Situbondo 12, Menteng, Central Jakarta.

Ma’ruf also did not meet with journalists who waited in front of his house. Usually, he approached them in front of his terrace, after receiving the guests.

On Wednesday, November 28, Ma’ruf was scheduled to attend a number of events. However, he did not attend. All the agenda was canceled that day.

Ma’ruf’s eldest daughter, Siti Ma’rifah confirmed the news that her father just fell in the bathroom. “His leg was sprained,” Ma’rifah said when contacted by Tempo, Wednesday, November 28.

Yesterday, the Coordinator of the 212 Reunion Committee Yusuf Martak visited Ma’ruf at his residence. From the photos circulating, Ma’ruf, who was wearing a white shirt, looked thinner than usual.

Yusuf Martak came as the administrator of the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI). “His leg was sprained. I came with the other MUI administrators, we visited his house,” said Yusuf, Tuesday night, December 4.

Yusuf Martak admitted that his visit was only to meet Ma’ruf, the MUI General Chairman. He did not answer when asked whether he discussed the 212 reunion or not when he met Ma`ruf Amin.
