Man-made islands are seen being constructed for the Jakarta Bay reclamation project.

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan stated that Jakarta Propertindo or Jakpro would manage 65 percent of the three reclamation islands. The rest will still be managed by the developer of the reclaimed island of the Jakarta Bay.

“In total, around 65 percent will be managed by Jakpro,” Anies said at City Hall, Central Jakarta, Monday, November 26.

Anies did not detail the division of ration. However, he ensured the Jakarta administration had full responsibility for the C, D and G islands.

But it does not rule out the possibility of Jakpro cooperating with private sectors. Anies asked the Jakpro to coordinate with the developer.

The appointment of Jakpro as the manager of C, D, and G islands contained in the Governor Regulation No. 120/2018 issued on November 16, 2018.

Jakpro has the task of managing the land contributions for 10 years. Anies wants the residents to immediately be able to use the coastal area free of charge.

Yesterday, Anies officially set new names for the three reclamation islands; Kawasan Pantai Kita, Kawasan Pantai Maju, and Kawasan Pantai Bersama.
