TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - A Turkish news site on Tuesday released quotes from the recordings of what is assumed to be the final moments of Washington Post journalist Jamal Khashoggi before he was murdered at the Saudi consulate in Istanbul. The site also published the identities of some of the men in the recording.

According to the Hurriyet Daily News, the transcripts were published by Turkish media, the Habertürk, quoting a number of Turkish security sources.

The recording, Habertürk reported, reveals the moment Khashoggi was ambushed by a Saudi assassination team when the journalist entered the consulate on October 2 at 13:14. The first recording took place in Unit A of the Consulate, which includes the visa department, and is about seven minutes long.

"Let go of my hand, what do you think you are doing?" Khashoggi was heard saying.

The team of assasins then took Khashoggi to the building's Unit B, which is an administrative unit.

To date, the body of Jamal Khashoggi has not been found. The Saudi authority has indicted 11 of 21 suspects, and five have been sentenced to death. Turkey President Recep Tayyip Erdogan demands that all suspects extradited to his country for trial, including the mastermind of the murder, which is suspected to be a high-ranking official of the Saudi government.
