TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Head of the Communications and Public Information Bureau of the Ministry of Transportation, Baitul Ihwan, said that the ministry would impose sanctions on two civil servants, the suspects of the shooting case in the House of Representatives (DPR) Building, Senayan.

“Surely we will impose sanctions to every State Civil Apparatus who commits a violation, especially if it is related to crime,” said Ihwan, Wednesday, October 17.

Jakarta Police set the suspects on Monday, October 15. They are IAW and RM, the state civil apparatus of the Ministry of Transportation.

They were considered to be negligent when practicing shooting at the Senayan Shooting Field. The bullets fired broke the glass windows on the 16th and 13th floors of the Nusantara I DPR building.

Ihwan refused to specify what sanctions would be given. “We will see the level of error, or the violations committed,” he said.

According to ihwan, the two civil servants practiced shooting as private activities. “Not as an assignment activity from the Ministry of Transportation,” he said.
