TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Deputy Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Arcandra Tahar, said that currently there has been no more long queues for fuel in gas stations in Palu, Central Sulawesi.
"I directly check for the supplies, there was no queue, either for fuel in gas stations or for LPGs [liquid petroleum gas]," Arcandra said on Friday, October 12, 2018.
Arcandra explained that queues for LPG have diminished because the state-owned oil and gas company has carried out a market operation.
Arcandra said that, following the recent disaster in Palu, there were three severely damaged gas stations. Arcandra added that there 15 gas stations in Palu are in fully operational conditions as of October 11, 2018.
"Before the disaster, there were 17 gas stations. [Now] two experienced heavy damages. In the next one to four weeks, hopefully, we can restore it back to 17 gas stations," Arcandra said.
