Govt Gives Tax Relief for Earthquake Victims in Donggala, Palu

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Directorate General of Tax of the Ministry of Finance provides tax relief to the victims of Palu and Donggala earthquake and tsunami that occurred on Friday 28 September.
“In addition, there is also the elimination of sanction for late reporting and tax payment,” said Director of Taxation Regulation I, Arif Yanuar, at the Directorate General of Taxation office, Senayan, South Jakarta, Wednesday, October 3. This regulation will be issued through the Directorate General of Taxation Decree.

Arif explained the tax reliefs provided are the SPT (annual tax form) submission/reporting, exclusion of administrative sanctions for late reporting, payment and reporting of PPN (value-added tax) and Corporate Income Tax (PPh Badan), reporting and payment of Property Tax, tax debt payment, Tax Assessment Letter (SKP) and Tax Collection Letter (STP).
The Tax Directorate is currently also working on the regulation for tax relief in paying PPh Badan or Article 25. “But it is still being discussed and formulated in the internal tax directorate," said Arif.
