TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - National Army (TNI) Commander Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto did not say explicitly whether the TNI would hold the screening of Pengkhianatan G30S/PKI (Betrayal of Communist) film.

Last year, the TNI Commander Gen. (Ret.) Gatot Nurmantyo instructed TNI members to watch the film directed by Arifin C. Noer.

Hadi said that watching the film was the right of all citizens at any time. “Go ahead, everyone can watch it; that is part of the history of our nation," he said at the Sudirman Hall, Jakarta, Wednesday, September 26, also inviting the society to reject the communist ideology in the country of Pancasila.

According to the TNI commander, the communist ideology is a common enemy for the people of Indonesian. “The danger of communism is our concern,” he said.

The plan to screen the G30S/PKI film came after Gatot Nurmantyo challenged the TNI's Chief of Army Staff (KSAD) Gen. Mulyono to order his staff to watch the film.
