TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The State Civilian Bureaucracy Commission (KASN) officially reported Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan to President Joko `Jokowi` Widodo for not doing all recommendations issued by the commission within a set time. KASN earlier demanded Anies return the positions of eight echelon II officials whom he discharged without notice.

“Now the decision is on the hand of President,” said KASN Commissioner I Made Suwandi in a phone call with Tempo, Wednesday, September 19.

KASN issued a recommendation after they found violations committed by the Jakarta administration for dismissing 16 city officials of echelon II. KASN gave a deadline period of 30 working days and one week to comply with the findings.

Suwandi mentioned the city administration had followed through with several recommendations. A total of eight officials were retired, assigned in the same position, or quitted to run as a legislative candidate. “But fail to concern on the other eight officials,” he added.

Suwandi explained the report sent to the President noted the chronology of the reshuffle and the dismissal letters ratified by the governor.

The authority to give a sanction for Anies Baswedan belongs to President Jokowi. “We file a report as it is,” Suwandi said.
